10K Course - new course in 2025!
The USATF-certified course for the 10K starts out in front of Peabody Primary School. Runners head west around the corner of Stanton Park to the U.S. Capitol, turning and passing in its shadow as well as past the U.S. Supreme Court and Library of Congress. After coming back behind the Library of Congress, runners head to the tree canopies along East Capitol Street, passing around Lincoln Park on their way towards RFK Stadium. Once approaching RFK Stadium, runners will following C St NE and head to the westbound lanes of the Whitney Young Bridge. After doing a counter clockwise u-turn on the bridge close to 295 exit ramp, runners return on the same direction via C St NE, 22nd St NE and East Capitol St NE to 3rd St NE to the finish at Peabody.
3K Course - new course in 2025!
The USATF-certified 3K course starts out in front of Peabody Primary School, heading east on C St NE (making a loop around Stanton Park) before turning right (heading west) on Maryland Ave NE. Then, runners turn left on 3rd St NE before turning left and heading down to East Capitol Street. Runners continue in the shade of East Capitol towards Lincoln Park and make a counter clockwise u-turn on East Capitol and 10th St NE (before Lincoln Park) and then head back to Peabody for the finish.
Fun Run
The Fun Run is a single lap around Stanton Park (approximately a third of a mile). Parents are welcome to run with their children; all finishers will receive medals!
